Designed for fertilizing with sprinklers and garden hoses, the Chapin 4710 1-gallon HydroFeed fertilizing injection system is different than a standard hose-end sprayer. It hooks into your outdoor faucet, with a standard hose connection so you can use it for feeding while watering.
HydroFeed works differently than a standard hose-end sprayer: it adds water back into the translucent, 1-gallon chemical tank as your chemical is being pulled out. Your chemical sits on the bottom of the tank and is pulled out through the inlet tube as water is being pulled back in. Water stays on top of your chemical mix because it’s less dense than your chemical. It doesn’t dilute the chemical. This is why the water turns clear after your chemical runs out.
The 4710 is ideal for liquid fertilizer and has a filter basket to catch any debris while filling the tank. It has a variable rate adjustment of 1 to 10 ounces per gallon. The drain plug and valve allow you to easily empty the tank after each use. Do not use with drip irrigation systems.
