When using a tow-behind spreader, there is the constant need to reach back to turn the spreader on and off. In those moments, standard tow-behind spreaders drop seed, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, causing waste, uneven application, or burned grass. With the Chapin 89620B tow-behind spreader and its auto-stop dual impeller, that need to reach back is gone. The spreader automatically opens the gate when it starts moving and closes when its stopped. It hooks up to a standard hitch on an ATV, UTV, or lawn tractor. It’s equipped to handle tough terrain around your farm, field and acreage with the 2.2 cubic feet capacity weather-resistant hopper and the powder-coated steel frame. There are 11 incremental gate adjustments to dial in the mix that fits the application. The spiked auger and baffle help with even spread control. This tow spreader is not recommended with sand, sand mixes, lime, and pelletized lime mixes.
